Together against disinformation – Where public sector meets private | 13:45 – 14:35 (CEST)

Disinformation in cyberspace is a phenomenon which is a concern to many different subjects. It uses some of the newest ICT technologies and aims at individuals or institutions alike. It also hinders democratic processes. The response to a problem of such a pronounced complexity cannot simply rest on alienated actions of individual organizations or on a local activism. We strongly believe that the development of the European resilience and its security architecture is a necessity and requires a coordinated and built on trust collaboration of both public and private sectors with a strong input of NGOs and medias. This panel is thought to initiate a discussion on the subject of challenges of cooperation between various sectors and to outline necessary systemic actions to combat disinformation. Reducing risks posed by hybrid threats, including disinformation an IOs, will constitute an important factor helping to face the danger of the adversarial Internet.
